1 Rosevean Cottages is a semi-detached holiday cottage standing at the edge of a small group of cottages next to open fields and woods, with a lovely view over the Penwith peninsula from the master bedroom. Originally a miner's cottage from the nineteenth century, it has now been tastefully renovated and furnished to provide a comfortable and attractive base for your holiday in Cornwall.

St Hilary is a small village situated at the heart of the Mounts Bay area at the very foot of Cornwall, 2 miles from the nearest sandy beaches and 3 miles from Marazion with St Michael's Mount. The village has a beautifully decorated church, while shops and pubs serving food are within 3/4 of a mile at Goldsithney. It is an ideal base for a family or walking holiday, with easy access to coastal and moorland walks on both the Land's End and the Lizard peninsulas, and St Ives Bay on the north coast as well. Surfing, riding and golf are all offered nearby, and the area is a paradise for bird-watchers and painters. A host of local attractions includes The Tate Gallery at St Ives; beautiful houses and gardens at Godolphin House, Trengwainton, Trebah and Glendurgan; birds at Paradise Park; the Seal Sanctuary; Flambards theme park, as well as ancient archeological sites, mining museums etc. Excursions to the Scilly Isles can be undertaken from Penzance or Land's End.

The cottage offers the following accomodation:

Ground Floor - entrance hall; large kitchen/diner; large living room; small conservatory; toilet;

First Floor - bedroom 1 with king-size double bed; bedroom 2 with twin beds; bedroom 3 with single/twin beds (second bed pulls out from under first); large bathroom with bath, shower, shaver point and toilet; airing/utility cupboard;

Garden - sunny front and back gardens with garden furniture and parking for 3 cars; garage serving as games room with table tennis and darts.

Duvets are provided, but please bring your own bedlinen and towels, or these can be provided for an extra charge as long as we receive sufficient notice.

Children are welcome, and there are beach toys etc in the garage which guests may borrow - please replace anything lost or broken. We have a cot and a high chair which can be made available if required.

We regret that no pets or smoking are allowed in the house.

A non-refundable deposit of 1/3 of the rental is payable on booking, and the balance at least 2 months before the start of your holiday.
